Little Ricky Jr. gets pwned

So a few weeks ago an article appears in the Michigan Daily about how some fuckwad at my church is all upset because New York Pizza Depot has a rainbow sticker on its door. This was followed by an even bigger fuckwad writing in the next week with the bestaility slippery slope argument. Shooting that guy down will be left as an exercise to the reader.

What does the parish have to say about all this? From this week's bulletin:

While I was away on vacation, newspapers and a couple of television news programs reported that St. Mary’s was sponsoring a boycott of NYPD, the pizza restaurant behind us on William, because of the presence of the rainbow flag on the front door. This report is erroneous. We are not encouraging a boycott or action of any sort with respect to NYPD.

The story found as its source an email from an individual encouraging this boycott, who identified himself as a member of a SMSP group, and sent it to various St. Mary’s email groups.

I apologize for any confusion that these reports may have caused anyone, and for the difficulties it brought to the owners of NYPD, good neighbors who frequently worship here with us. SMSP has always been a welcoming community, including our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters. To them, I also express regret for any hurt that these reports have caused, and hope to dispel any doubt as to our desire to have you feel at home in our parish community.

New Cell Phone

I got it at the Sprint Store downtown so I didn't see this guy. He also didn't interfere with my enjoyment of March of the Penguins, luckily for him.
